The HeliX from Oxford Cryosystems was the worlds first non-liquid open flow helium cryostat for single crystal x-ray diffraction. This unique system allows users to work at temperatures as low as 28 Kelvin without the need for dangerous and expensive liquid helium.
Now the HeliX has evolved a step further to become the N-HeliX; with the ability to use both helium and nitrogen gas. Unlike systems which require liquid helium, the N-HeliX is also totally programmable, with the ability to reach and maintain any specific temperature from 28 to 300 Kelvin, with a stability of greater than 0.3 Kelvin.
Unlike liquid helium systems, the N-HeliX system offers
- Temperature accuracy
- High temperature stability
- Absolute temperature control
- Long run times
- Low helium consumption
- Low running costs
